Healing Brush Tool

Main Theme Idea As I talked about in my last blog post, I want to recreate a meme that is very popular on the internet, only replace the characters in the meme with the characters Jan Levinson and Michael Scott from the TV show The Office.  My original thought was pretty much to use the original meme as a sort of template, and make my own backgrounds for the new one, but upon learning more about the healing brush tools and other useful icons on Photoshop and also InDesign, I think I can cut out the characters from the original meme and insert the new characters in their place.  Healing Brush Tool Since I have now decided to keep the background of the original meme, using the healing brush tool was extremely helpful. For this assignment, I decided to do the meme of the woman who's yelling at the cat over dinner, but instead of the woman and the cat, to replace the woman with Jan from The Office yelling at Michael, who will replace the cat, sitting down.  For the caption I had Jan yelling at Michael to drink more water, and then Michael's character looking smug saying that he's on his third coffee of the day. I did this because I really like coffee and I definitely think that I should be drinking more water.  When I was composing this, I was making it extremely rough, just so I could get a feel for what the real one is going to end up looking like. I had to resize the two images of Michael and Jan, but to make sure that I "preserved the proportions," I had to make sure that when I was resizing them, the photo was highlighted.  Using the lasso tool was so helpful because "the tool tries to find image edges and automatically stops the selection there."
